Welcome to the new H2 – Bosch hydrogen technologies at Hannover Messe

To produce hydrogen, Bosch is developing the heart of electrolyzer systems. The Bosch PEM electrolysis stack – or, in the future, the Smart Electrolysis Module, which will incorporate the relevant electronics – forms the heart of these systems and is a crucial factor in terms of their performance and service life. The stack consists of multiple electrolysis cells. It is here that the actual electrochemical process takes place, in which green hydrogen is efficiently produced from water, using renewable energies. To create a future-proof energy system that is independent from fossil fuels and powered by renewable resources.

Our highlight at Hannover Messe: our PEM stack test bench

Bosch Rexroth developed the new electrohydraulically driven cryopump in collaboration with FirstElement Fuel, the market leader for the commercial operation of hydrogen filling stations in the USA. With a connection rating of 280kW, it compresses liquid hydrogen to 875 bar for the direct refueling of heavy trucks. The aim is to refuel vehicles with 100kg of hydrogen within 10 minutes. With direct refueling, there is no need for temporary storage tanks at filling stations.
